A humorous scenario involving a situation that is not humorous at all

Today I saw this pop up on my Facebook feed and I snickered:

This is not at all funny. It’s pretty shitty that I laughed. Why did I laugh? Because I have no idea who “James Deen” is, nor have I been following the awful crap this guy has been up to. When I read the headline above my brain read “James Dean” and in conjunction with the quote, “It was like a ghost was on top of me,” the content looked absurd at first glance. The moral of this story is two fold. Close reading is key – be wary of your brain doing weird auto-pilot interpretations of words. Also VICE News should know better when crafting links to share on social media.
